Achyuthan is a Robotics Engineer at Dopl Technologies, where he leverages his expertise to advance telerobotic systems. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Amrita University, India, followed by a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). His PhD in Robotics Engineering at WPI focuses on human-robot interaction, robot control interfaces, robot autonomy, and Augmented Reality visual cues for tele-robotics. Prior to this, he worked as a Design Engineer at Robert Bosch where he amassed experience in commercial product design and development.

During his PhD, Achyuthan collaborated closely with healthcare workers and nurses, inspiring his commitment to developing technologies that simplify their tasks and extend their capabilities to those in need. Witnessing the challenges faced by healthcare workers in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic deepened his drive to create solutions that make healthcare more accessible, regardless of location, time, or other constraints.

Fun Fact: Despite amassing over 10,000 hours in Dota 2, Achyuthan admits he's still not very good at the game. He is also an avid fan of cricket, soccer, and basketball, passionately supporting the Indian cricket team, Fulham, and the 76ers.
